How can I help?

Volunteering at Stella Maris

The Apostleship of the Sea is a ministry like no other. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and from diverse cultural, linguistic, and heritage backgrounds: a definite complement to the seafarers whom we serve. Volunteering at Stella Maris is a bit like having the world at your feet, with so many foreign crews visiting Melbourne on a daily basis and being welcomed at the Centre. There are many tasks which require dedicated people, and a commitment of a few hours per week can help significantly. All prospective volunteers are welcome and will be interviewed by a staff or Committee member. Subsequent to this, new volunteers undergo a probationary period before becoming eligible for full membership to the Association. If you would like to learn more or are interested in volunteering, please contact the Centre Manager.
